Abbot Print Ltd has been printing business stationery on behalf of other printers since 1920. Customers (today including print management companies) have utilised our experience of book and pad work, and particularly our in depth knowledge of numbering.

While multipart book and pad work is our speciality, the core of Abbot’s business remains continuous forms, cut sets and register sets. Abbot offers a wide range of finishing, from wire stabbed and padded to perfect bound and we are particularly proud of the high standard of quality of the final product.

Abbot has been credited with FSC and PEFC certificates, and can therefore partner with those customers that wish to utilise this environmental aspect.

Sending Artwork

We always aim to use the software packages with which our customers are most familiar.

We can accept artwork produced in other programs if saved as:

EPS (spot colour) - accompanied by all fonts and images used
PDF (press quality and fonts embedded)

Word documents can be used for terms and conditions (text only). We are happy to accept artwork, accompanied by images and fonts, sent using any of the following methods:

Floppy Disc
Zip Disc (100 or 250)
CD / DVD

Hard Copy

Spot Colours

Because we are spot colour printers, to enable us to process your job more efficiently, we request that all artwork be converted to spot colours before sending.

Proofs

We are happy to provide proofs via email or post.

Internet

We are able to download artwork and images from an internet address that holds high quality artwork, if we are given a specific user name and password.

As part of our commitment to the environment, Abbot Print Ltd now has the FSC and PEFC certificates.

For NCR products - unless otherwise requested - we print on Giroform carbonless paper, which carries the Nordic Environmental Label ('the Swan'). The logo may be applied to a product manufactured on carbonless paper by Abbot if requested. Information leaflets that may be passed on to your customers, are available on request.

As with any company, we have needed to find a way to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. We have found that the best way of achieving this is to concentrate on maintaining an excellent service and producing a product to the highest quality possible.

We could compete on price only - by using lower quality paper or not printing on litho - but this pride in producing well-printed and finished work motivates all the staff and encompasses the long history of Abbot producing excellent quality work.

Individual estimates are returned same day and order acknowledgments are sent to confirm a proposed delivery date.

Books and pads will always have clean, guillotined edges, standard duplicate and triplicate books have a pre-printed cover and jobs are despatched in clearly marked boxes with either plain or your labels. We will wrap boxes together with either brown wrapping or in waterproof bags to protect them from the weather.
